Guidelines
- Manuscript and synopsis should be formatted using double-spaced 12pt Times New Roman with 30mm margins.
- Please only send Word or PDF files.
Please follow the submission guidelines, as anything outside of this will not be considered.
How to submit
To have your work considered, please email to submission@ginaedwards.com.au. Your fiction proposal must include:
1). In the subject line of your email, please include:Your name, the manuscript title, whether your work is fiction or nonfiction, and the genre.
- 2). Include a brief cover letter in the body of your email that incorporates the following:
- total word count of your manuscript
- an author biography, including any relevant information about previous writing/publishing/awards/residencies
- your contact details, including your phone number.
3). Please attach a 600-word synopsis of your work and the first three chapters (or the first 50 consecutive pages) of your manuscript formatted according to the guidelines above – or for picture books, the entire manuscript.
Thank you for including me as part of your agent search. The average time for a response is three to six months. If you have not heard from me after this time, you are welcome to send a friendly follow-up email. Please remember that, if your writing is not the right fit for my agency, other agents and publishers may feel differently.
